Landmark Architectural Blog

Much of the business of Architectural Salvage is done on the phone, answering questions and discussing projects.  Many people know a lot about what is out there and are looking for detailed information.  Some just know they want recycled materials for style or conservation reasons and need to know how to make use of what is available.  Of course we hope that our website will help to answer questions but there is always more to say.

So, welcome to Landmark Architectural’s new blog!

We intend to use the blog to add detail to what you can find out on our website.  We will answer questions which regularly come up in those phone conversations.  We will discuss projects, uses of salvaged materials, traditional, creative, unusual and downright odd.  We will be very happy to hear from you about ideas you have come up with or come across and we hope that we can publish material that will inspire the use of architectural salvage in gardens and homes around the country.

Next week I plan to write about a variety of ways to use railway sleepers in landscaping.  Here is a taster:

Railway Sleepers used as garden steps

Railway Sleeper Steps

These steps, built with reclaimed railway sleepers, prove that it is possible to blend in and stand out all at the same time.

Of course we will also keep you up to date with great deals and special offers.
