One of the most extraordinary characteristics of granite is the range of colours which occur naturally. Blacks and greys would be the colours that normally come to mind when we think of granite. Would you have thought of pink or blue or red? Would you have thought of brown or green?
Granite is formed under ground when molten lava cools. During the cooling, mineral crystals form, many of which are visible to the naked eye. This is one of the things which is responsible for the naturally rough texture. It is also one of the causes of the spectacular range of natural colours.
Whether you are putting a counter top in your kitchen, tiling your bathroom or paving your garden, you shouldn’t forget that colour is a major consideration!
